I’m Lindsay de Jong, a New York native married to my best friend of 9 years, with two excitable kiddos who keep me on my toes. When I'm not creating balloon magic, I'm running around to kid activities and snuggling up with my two fur baby pups while watching true crime. I have a wanderlust heart and love to travel, especially internationally. I'm a big planner and list maker and weirdly love color coding my calendar... anyone else?!

After having kids and a newborn during COVID, I needed a creative outlet to find myself. Leaving behind a corporate IT job after 10 years, I pursued my passion for happiness and celebration. My journey with Balloon Fête Charleston began when I discovered the joy of creating beautiful decor for my daughter’s first birthday.

The name Balloon Fête Charleston is a colorful nod to my mother’s Caribbean heritage in Trinidad and Tobago

This island paradise, known for its lively culture, gave the world the steelpan, limbo, and the vibrant rhythms of calypso, soca, and parang. Trinidad’s Carnival, an explosion of color, music, and joy, is the inspiration behind our name. In Trinidad, these exuberant celebrations are called “fêtes,” capturing the essence of our mission to bring joy and festivity to every event we touch.
